Domino Knitting Pattern

Hi Everyone!!

It's me again. On my last blog, I said that I will try to post one article everyday, but I couldn't do that :( So sorry Readers.. Since last Tuesday I am in Wiesbaden. I came here because I have 3 weeks holidays from my school. I will upload my holiday photos on my next post. 

Today I will share my hubby's favorite pattern, it's called "Domino". This pattern is very easy to make, but it looks nice, both for man and woman. 

Domino Knitting Pattern

Let's get started... One more thing before you start knitting, when you knit this scarf, remember to always keep the tip of the needle as close as possible. 

Skill level : Easy

1. Number of stitches : depend on the size of the yarns, for this blue scarf, I am using 35 stitches.

2. The Formula : (for making 5 horizontally sets of square)

First vertical set :  
- Row 1, 3, 5, 7  : k7, p7, k7, p7, k7

- Row 2, 4, 6, 8 : p7, k7, p7, k7, p7

Second vertical set :   
- Row 1, 3, 5, 7  : p7, k7, p7, k7, p7 

- Row 2, 4, 6, 8 : k7, p7, k7, p7, k7

3. After you finished second set, back to first set. Knit the sets over and over again until you reach the length that you want.

4. Add the Tassel.


How to add the Tassel : 
1. you have to cut the yarn into strands with the same length, use a crochet needle as a helping tool, see pict. 1

2. take 2 strands, and use the crochet needle to put them into our stitches, see pict. 2 & 3

3. use your hand to tied the strands, see pict. 4 & 5

4. do it until finish, this is how it looks from the front and the back

Scarf A
(no. of stitches: 35, length: (I want to make it until 2m), no. of yarns: 3, size of needle: 5)

Scarf B
(no. of stitches: 25, length: 2m (include the tassel), no of yarns: 3 (100gr yarn), size of needle: 5.5)

Domino Knitting Pattern - Red Scarf

The tassel of my red scarf is too short, because I am running out of yarns. It is better to make the tassel that have the same length as the width of the scarf.
